Please note that all futons over 59" wide will have a seam on the surface of product, as the width of the roll of fabric does not allow us to create such futon without seam.
The body releases a lot of moisture at night, which should evaporate in a natural way due to the proper ventilation: hemp fiber ideally supports the natural regime of the body and that means that you don’t feel cold or hot and there is no “thermos” effect".
To create our futons we use a filler from natural plant hemp fibers, which has a natural smell inherent in these plants, it is similar to the smell of hay, which disappears over time. Our filler has a medium firmness level, more softer. It will definitely not be firm. Since our filling is dried plant fibers, it will not be as elastic and springy as any synthetic filling and may sag over time, as it is organic.
HEMP FIBER – is a natural antiallergen, it is grown in Ukraine without the use of pesticides and herbicides.
This fiber supports your natural heat and air balance in the ideal way.
We recommend using it with our linen-hemp quilted cover as a fitted sheet. In this way, the shikibuton /mat keeps its shape better and is easy to wash. The mat contains a layer of hemp fiber quilted with linen fabric inside (photo 7-11):

Buckwheat hull–filled products:
Remove the hull filling before washing the cover. Wash the cover separately on a gentle cold cycle. Keep hulls dry and store them in a well-ventilated place.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it provide enough support at this thickness? I read in reviews that it goes flat.
8 cm is a light/medium level of support. It works great as a comfort pad or soft mattress, but can "sag" a little over time (this is natural for natural fibers). If you need noticeably more support, there are options with higher densities or additional layers. Write to us and we will find the best option for you.
What is the weight?
The approximate weight depends on the size and density chosen, but the average weight for a standard 8 cm cotton is light/comfortable to carry; if you need the exact weight for your size - let me know and I will calculate.
Do you have a cover for it?
Yes - we offer a convenient removable cover in linen, hemp and a cheaper option in cotton fabric with a zipper.
Is it 100% organic?
We do not claim anywhere that we have an organic certificate. We make organic products from hemp and flax that do not harm our planet after use.
We are not a business manufacturer of fabrics and non-woven materials, we are a small workshop that simply sews from materials that we purchase from manufacturers with the OEKO tex standard (linen) and hemp fiber (the hemp fiber supplier has state quality certificates according to state standards), which are actually grown without the use of chemicals. Hemp does not cause pests, and plants growing next to hemp do not become infected. Due to these natural antiseptic properties, hemp fiber filler is hypoallergenic and natural.
This is an organic material in its purest form.
